Terms and conditions

These terms apply to contracts between Nova Uni UG (Sicher durchs digitale Leben), Sirius Businesspark Industriestrasse 13 63755 Alzenau, Germany, and the person who buys learning access on the Global / INT storefront of www.nova-uni.com. This storefront is the catch-all euro shop for countries that are not a dedicated Nova Uni market.

The contract language for this storefront is English. The site also offers German, Spanish, French and Italian interface languages. If you view another language, or a Spain/France/Germany legal pack used only as a locale fallback, the English text of this Global / INT pack prevails in case of conflict — except that mandatory consumer protections at your habitual residence still apply.

The trader is established in Germany. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods where permitted. That choice does not take away mandatory consumer protections of your habitual residence (Rome I Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, Article 6, where that Regulation applies). Those protections are the ones of your country — not a copy of every EU right.

Listing a product is not a binding offer. The contract is formed when you complete checkout through the offered payment flow and we send an order confirmation by email or activate access, whichever happens first.

The subject is a digital service: time-limited online access to the child and parent areas, courses, videos, interactive questions, tests and certificates, as shown for the package. Access lasts 12 months from purchase unless the product page says otherwise. Permanent ownership of files is not included. Videos and texts form part of that ongoing service, not a one-off download on a tangible medium. If classification is in doubt, service rules apply rather than one-off digital-content rules.

You need a common device, a current browser and a stable internet connection. Material product-specific requirements are shown before purchase.

The price is the amount displayed at checkout, including the taxes shown on that page and on the Stripe/Link receipt. Currency is euro unless the checkout page says otherwise. New paid orders are processed through Stripe Managed Payments and may appear as “Sold through Link”. Stripe is merchant of record for that payment and issues the payment receipt. Nova Uni remains the trader responsible for delivery, access and product support. Payment-receipt questions go to the support path named on the Stripe/Link receipt; access questions go to support@nova-uni.com.

Cancellation and withdrawal depend on where you habitually live. They are set out at /widerruf. In short: consumers habitually resident in the EU or the EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right; because this is ongoing platform access, starting to use it does not by itself end that right, and a proportionate amount may be due if you asked us to start early and then withdraw. Consumers habitually resident outside the EU/EEA do not have that EU/EEA right merely because they bought here. After access begins we do not refund solely for change of mind, except where a statutory withdrawal, cancellation, refund or other mandatory consumer right at your residence applies.

The service and content must match the contract during the access period. If they do not, you may use the remedies that cannot be excluded — for EU/EEA consumers, including the digital-content and digital-services rules implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770; for others, the mandatory remedies of your residence and any non-excludable German remedy.

The purchase must be completed by an adult. If the learner is under 18, the purchaser confirms they are a parent or legal guardian (or otherwise authorised) and will supervise the child’s use as required.

Access is personal and non-transferable. Content may not be copied, published, resold or shared with unauthorised third parties.

Nova Uni is fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence Nova Uni is liable only for breach of essential contractual duties and only for foreseeable, typical damage. Product-liability rules and any mandatory liability rules at your residence remain unaffected.

If you are an EU/EEA consumer you may also use the courts of your place of residence where Brussels I Recast allows it, and you may consult the Commission’s consumer-redress information at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/. The former EU ODR platform has been discontinued. Where the law allows, German courts have jurisdiction. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in a consumer-arbitration procedure unless the law requires it.
