Condiciones generales
These terms govern the contract between Nova Uni UG (Sicher durchs digitale Leben), Sirius Businesspark Industriestrasse 13 63755 Alzenau, Germany, and the consumer who buys learning access on www.nova-uni.com for the Canada storefront.
The trader is established in Germany. German law applies, excluding the CISG where permitted. That choice cannot take away mandatory consumer protections of the province or territory where you live — including, where they apply, internet-agreement and distance-contract rules, legal warranties, and prohibitions on unfair practices. Quebec consumers keep the rights in the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c. P-40.1). A distance contract with a Quebec consumer is deemed entered into at the consumer’s address.
Contract language: English and French versions of these terms and the related legal documents are available. Under Quebec’s Charter of the French Language, a contract of adhesion must be drawn up in French; you may be bound by the English version only after the French version has been made available and you expressly choose English. If the French and English versions differ, a Quebec consumer may rely on either version. Choosing the French interface means the French texts are the contract language.
The product page is not a binding offer. The contract is formed when you complete checkout through the offered payment flow and we confirm the order by email or activate access, whichever happens first. You will receive a retainable copy (usually the confirmation email) that you can keep and print.
The subject is a digital service: time-limited online access to the child and parent areas, courses, videos, interactive questions, tests and certificates, as shown for the package. Access lasts 12 months from purchase unless the product page says otherwise. This is a one-time purchase. It does not renew automatically and it is not a subscription billed in instalments. You do not receive permanent ownership of files. Videos and texts form part of the ongoing service; they are not a one-off download on a tangible medium.
You need a common device, a current browser and a stable internet connection. Material functionality and technical requirements are shown before payment. Access normally begins immediately after successful payment.
The price is the total amount displayed at checkout in Canadian dollars, including any taxes actually shown. No extra mandatory fee is added at pay except a government-imposed tax if and when one is displayed. New paid orders are processed through Stripe Managed Payments and may appear as “Sold through Link”. Stripe is merchant of record for that transaction and issues the payment receipt. Nova Uni remains responsible for delivery, access and product support. Payment-receipt questions go to the support path named on the Stripe/Link receipt; access questions go to support@nova-uni.com.
Canadian and provincial sales taxes (GST/HST, QST or provincial sales tax) are charged at checkout only if they are shown as part of the price or as a stated tax line. Until a required registration is in place, no such tax is added. This statement is not a GST/HST, QST or business-number registration and does not display any tax number.
There is no federal 14-day cooling-off right for this ordinary online digital-service purchase. Nova Uni does not refund solely for change of mind after access has begun. That policy does not limit a statutory cancellation, refund or other mandatory consumer right — for example if required pre-contract information or a retainable copy was not provided, if the service does not start as agreed, or if the service is defective, unavailable or not as described. Details: /widerruf.
An adult must place the order. If the learner is under 18, the purchaser confirms they are a parent, guardian or otherwise authorised and will supervise use as appropriate. Personal information of a child under 14 in Quebec is collected only with the authorisation of the person who has parental authority.
Access is personal and non-transferable. Content may not be copied, published, resold or shared with unauthorised third parties.
Nova Uni is fully liable for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, and for any liability that cannot be limited under the law of your province or territory. Where limitation is allowed, liability for slight negligence is limited to breach of essential duties and to foreseeable, typical loss. Legal warranties that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
support@nova-uni.com. Misleading-advertising complaints: Competition Bureau of Canada, ised-isde.canada.ca / competition-bureau.gc.ca. Provincial consumer-protection offices also take complaints (in Quebec: Office de la protection du consommateur, www.opc.gouv.qc.ca). The EU ODR platform is not the route for a purely Canadian consumer dispute. We are not obliged to use a particular Canadian arbitration or mediation scheme unless the law requires it.
