Sicher durchs digitale Leben

Privacy notice

Who we are: Nova Uni UG (Sicher durchs digitale Leben), Sirius Businesspark Industriestrasse 13 /impressum. This notice is for the United States storefront. Effective date: 19 August 2026. We will update this page when the notice changes in a material way.

We collect account and order data from the adult purchaser (name, email, payment references, market and locale), technical connection data (IP address, timestamp, user agent), and learning data needed to run the service (display name, child username, course progress, quiz and test results, certificates). Child accounts are created by the adult purchaser. We do not collect a child’s email address as a separate login or marketing contact.

We use this information to provide access, support, security and abuse prevention, and to keep records we reasonably need for accounting and legal claims. We do not use children’s learning data to advertise to children.

Hosting: the site and application run on Vercel Inc., 440 Terry Avenue North, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98109, USA (https://vercel.com). Support and email tools may process messages you send us.

Payments: paid orders go through Stripe as merchant of record (“Sold through Link”). Stripe collects and processes payment, receipt, tax and fraud-prevention data under Stripe’s own privacy notice. We store only the transaction references we need for access, support and accounting. Stripe is not described here as a mere “processor” for the whole payment relationship.

We share personal information with service providers who host the platform, send transactional email, or prevent fraud, and with Stripe for checkout. We do not sell mailing lists for money. We do not currently run third-party advertising pixels on this storefront. Because “sale” and “share” have special meanings under California law, and because Stripe as merchant of record has its own privacy practices, we do not claim that no business in the payment chain ever “sells” or “shares” personal information.

We do not honour browser “Do Not Track” signals as a separate control, because we do not use them to change a cross-site advertising profile. Other parties (for example Stripe on the payment page) may collect information according to their own notices. If we later use cross-context advertising, we will update this notice and provide any opt-out the law then requires.

You may review and request correction of account data by writing to support@nova-uni.com and naming the email address on the account. Parents may review and request correction of a child profile they created. We will notify users of material changes by updating this page and, where the change is significant, by email to the purchaser account.

Retention: accounts and progress for the access period plus a reasonable follow-up; payment references and tax-relevant records for as long as the law or the payment provider requires; support messages for as long as the matter and possible claims require.

California residents: the California Online Privacy Protection Act requires this privacy notice. If and when Nova Uni UG is a “business” under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit use of sensitive personal information, subject to legal exceptions. To make a request, email support@nova-uni.com and say that you are a California resident. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. We do not post a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link while we are not running a sale/share advertising program of our own; that is not a promise that the CCPA definition can never apply to a payment or hosting partner.

Other US states have their own privacy laws with different thresholds. If a mandatory state right applies to you, you may use the same contact. This notice is high-level and does not list every state statute.

Children: Nova Uni includes a child learning area. Under COPPA, we treat under-13 learners as using the service through a parent. The adult purchaser creates the child account. We do not condition a child’s participation on collecting more personal information than we need to provide the course. Parents may request review or deletion of their child’s profile data at support@nova-uni.com.
